According to the results of the voting, my work (‘The Future Robots’) hasn’t reached the finals this year.
A lots of people participated in my category (almost 80) this year. Comparing to the previous years, RAF Challenge had a quite comprehensive set of different and innovative works this time. The websites, 3D animations, PPT presentations, applications and so on and so forth.
If we compare The Future Robots with LottoGame2 (my work in 2012, reached Top10) and CloudComputingApp (my work in 2013, won 3rd place), we shall see that it is much better than the other two, but the competition was apparently way too strong this time 🙂
And here it is! The Future Robots application-presentation created for RAF Challenge 2014 competition!
This presentation contains a great amount of data about the robots which have been developed in the previous five years, thus giving the user opportunity to unleash own creativity and think of what the future robots might look like. What took me a month to collect, now it is available for the users in matter of minutes!
Application part – A small application compatible with Win7 x64. Plays a short audio intro about the goal of the Prezi presentation, provides additional information about this work and launches the Prezi presentation. In its directory you will find “Resources” file which gives you all of the links of the articles used for creating the Prezi presentation, so you can read the whole articles. Download here.
Presentation part – Prezi presentation contains 60 articles about 60 different robots. The articles have been collected all around the internet from many blogs and websites. The presentation has an audio support which explains the concept of the presentation and gives you the instructions for moving around if you are new to Prezi. It takes slightly longer to load, but if you don’t use Win7 x64, you can directly access it here

The online voting for qualifying for the finals of RAF Challenge 2014 has just started and I’m hoping for the best!
It’s been two years since the first post here….
… the previous year was full of the new experiences which made it the best year of my life…
I had never won any prize at any competition before this one. After I had sent my work in order to participate at “RAF Challenge”, I was very excited because I felt that I had some chances to win this time. What intuition said, was proven to be true – I won the 3rd place with my application called “Cloud Computing”.
Even though I had participated in many different competitions, I have never had seen something like this before. It was “Business challenge” competition – cooperating with strangers, we had to create business idea, business plan and the presentation within several hours. After that we were up to present our idea in front of more than 100 people and reply to jury’s questions.
Even though I didn’t win anything at the previous “Business Challenge”, I was invited to compete at the highest level of this competition: “Western Balkans Business Challenge” altogether with students from Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. During two amazing days, we had fabulous schedule which included successful people’s speeches, funny ice-breaking activities and the party. My team won the second place.
The summer was very active. I attended “Creative programming for Digital media & Mobile Apps” and “Nutrition and Physical activity for health” on Coursera.org and earned two PDF certificates.
At the very ending of the summer, I participated in Alumni conference. During two days we heard more about Junior Achievement organisation, Alumni club goals, listened to successful people and generally learned new things about entrepreneurship.
I was invited to join the National finals of Business Challenge to compete against other students from Serbia. My team won the second place.
And the blog has officially dived in the third year of its existence and some different content will come this year!
Our nature demands us to thrive, but who stops us?
Have you ever wondered why…
…we still use fossil fuels, but we know about alternative energy resources?
… is our school system so boring and tough, but we know that today’s most successful individuals have left it and managed to succeed?
… two percents of the total human population own 80% of the total planet’s wealth, while the rest is fighting to survive?
If you have, you should watch Thrive for the answers and significantly clearer image of what is actually going on in the world. This movie explains who rules this world, why do they need us to be obedient and how can we resist that.
Take a seat and enjoy.
